from 2017 to January of 2020, Alyssa was resident performer and dance director for PA-RT Nyc, a team of creatives who produce and create immersive-style performance art events and experiences. each event was uniquely themed and included choreographed, as well as, improvised dance performances to engage the audiences directly with each storyline.
forever festival xyz
forever fest is a surrealist music and performance art organization based in Brooklyn. Alyssa’s contribution to two iterations of the event premiered under the title, “Surrealist Dance Ceremony”, utilizing structured improvisation in performance, as well as choreography to Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 77: III. Allegro giocoso, ma non troppo vivace, by Johannes Brahms, and, The Face I Love, by Astrud Gilberto for three dancers.

a dance film work, edited, performed, and conceptualized by Alyssa; commissioned by Nicholas Croft. the commission included the task of creating to the original music of Briana Marela Lizárraga. the theme of the work is the urgency of the present, denoted in the lyrics as “all we have is now”, the movement itself is intended to convey the countless possibilities we possess as humans to continually renew, reinvent, and rediscover.
